Sam Pillsbury Owner and Winemaker of Pillsbury Wine Company had a dream to create distinct, high quality Arizona wines. In the year 2000, he planted 20 acres on the high desert plateau in Cochise County at 4,300 feet and gambled that this location would be perfect for Rhone varietals. Based on the number of awards that Sam has won for his 100% Arizona wines, it seems that his dream has come true!

Place:  Among wineries from the Wilcox region of Arizona, having a tasting room in Old Town Cottonwood is becoming a popular trend. More visitors ... Read full review

Oak Creek Vineyards was founded by Deb Wahl in 2002. Deb is a petite woman with more spunk than you’d think a person of her stature could muster. The winery is one of several Arizona wineries located southwest of Flagstaff, and its ten acres of vines are nourished by a deep aquifer located under the vineyard. The winery also sources fruit from the Willcox region. Deb intends to plant more acreage in the future and showed us the site selected.

Place:  The winery tasting room is inviting and comfortable. The mesh netting draping the porch rafters ... Read full review

History:  Caduceus Cellars is yet another venture of Maynard James Keenan. This international rock star has set out to rock the wine business; and I’m sure I’m not the first person to say that. Caduceus is a small production winery producing approximately 2500 cases a year, and Keenan is the owner and winemaker. Keenan researched wine-growing regions around the world to identify the varieties best suited for the high desert conditions found in the Verde Valley, Cochise County and regions in New Mexico. As a result, the winery is producing some of Arizona's finest wines using Spanish, Italian and Rhone ... Read full review

They recently bought Bonita Springs with 40 acres under vine and the potential to plant another 120 acres giving them lots of room for growth. And growing they are!!
