Cruzin’ the Pinot Trail: Pinot Paradise in the Santa Cruz Mountains

There is no other wine region even remotely like the Santa Cruz Mountains. It is one of the cradles of Pinot Noir in California, but is better known for its eccentric and Bohemian residents than its viticultural heritage. The reasons for this are evident when you cruz throughly the hilly, heavily wooded landscape. Unlike every other major winegrowing region in California, wineries and vineyards are not visible from major highways and roads.
