Wine tasting in Temecula Valley can be expensive. Visiting a couple wineries to taste can easily cost more than $60 per person, but there are ways to enjoy a day in wine country without taking out a second mortgage. With a little planning, the savvy and frugal wine tourist can taste at four different Temecula wineries for as low as $30 per person – if you are tasting with a friend.

One way to reduce costs is to visit the wineries during the week instead of during the weekends. Some wineries offer discounted weekday rates, which can be up to half off compared to their weekend rates. Additionally, many wineries offer two for one tasting coupons, but many are only valid during the week. Coupons seem to be more available during the off peak winter months as well. Current Temecula winery coupons can be downloaded at the Temecula Valley Winegrowers Association website.

If you can't visit wine country during the week, you can still taste at some of Temecula's best wineries without spending a lot of money. Although prices for wine tasting in Temecula have been skyrocketing over the past few years - making it one of the priciest wine regions in the county - some wineries still offer wine tasting for $10 per person.

If you want to enjoy the vinous wonders of Temecula wine country - and still have money left to actually buy wine - here is AmericanWineryGuide.com's list of the 16 best Temecula wine tasting deals.
