The Adelaida District AVA is located in the Santa Lucia Range in the northwestern section of the larger Paso Robles AVA. The region's relatively high elevation, mild temperatures, and shallow soils are ideal for growing a wide range of grapes including cool climate varieties such as Pinot Noir.
